NASCAR Fans Shoots Himself After Saturday Night’s NRA 500

Huff Post – A Texas man used a gun to commit suicide in the infield of a National Rifle Association-sponsored NASCAR race at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth late on Saturday, local authorities said.

Kirk Franklin, 42, of nearby Saginaw died after shooting himself at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday during the NRA 500 Sprint Cup race, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

Franklin was involved in a verbal altercation with other race spectators before the incident, said Daniel Segura, a Fort Worth Police Department spokesman.

Franklin’s body was found in the back seat of a truck, according to an online police report.

Here we go, this story hits everything that Water Cooler hates: guns, rednecks, and stupid people.  Some delinquent got into an altercation with other spectators AT A NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION SPONSORED NASCAR RACE and decided to blow his dome off in his truck after the race.  Ah, hello, if the NRA is going to sponsor anything, don’t be sponsoring events where drinking and rednecks are involved.  I know rednecks love their guns and what not, but this is the kind of shit that happens.  They get all hopped up about the NRA and they start totting their guns around like badasses.  Then they drink, get emotional and boom, the county medical examiner is getting called.  Guns laws, people.  Not everyone should be possessing.  I can’t really think of a reason why most people in 2013 need to possess.  We no longer hunt for means of survival, nor do we have a government that’s going to take over the people.  We are the freest of any country and therefore our problems arise.  Its like when a child or teenager growing up has no rules or laws to live by.  Not all of them will grow up like The Sports Reporter did.  Some of them will grow up like Kirk Franklin here.  Out.  Of.  Control.
